It was 17 years ago when Jeremy Barge (better know as J.B. in the band) began his musical career. It all started at the age of 11 in the middle school orchestra where he played first chair violin. Although he loved the basics of classical music, rock was his passion. So at the age of 14 he picked up his first guitar. From there he taught himself how to play by listening to Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and Tool. Finally, in 2000, he decided to give the bass guitar a try. Turned out that is what he enjoyed the most. He always loved listening to his favorite bass players, Cliff Burton from Metallica and Ryan Martini from Mudvayne, and realized he could be as good as they were. He still loves to pick up the acoustic guitar to write, but his true style comes out when he plays the bass.
Over the next few years he played in many bands and was just trying to find his place in the music scene. It wasn’t until late 2006 when he met Jeremy Knight through some old friends, that he finally found it. They started jamming for fun and that led to them writing tons of new songs together. Finally they decided to get out of the basement, find a drummer and lead guitarist and start a new band. They named the band KADENSE because of there love of music and rhythm.
